SG and India collaborate to use technology for enhanced access to justice
The two markets signed two deals to promote bilateral judicial cooperation.
Singapore and India inked two memoranda of understanding (MOUs) on 7 September 2023 to enhance bilateral judicial cooperation.
In a joint statement, the deals cover judicial education and training, using technology to enhance access to justice, and promoting multilateral fora for judicial engagement.
The MOUs were signed following the Indian delegation’s visit to Singapore during the inaugural Singapore-India Judicial Roundtable, which will be held annually following the signing of the MOUs.
“These meetings serve as a platform to exchange knowledge, discuss mutual areas of interest, and advance collaboration and cooperation between the two judiciaries,” read the statement.
