Chart of the Day: Re-entry rate amongst retrenched workers hit 64.5% in Q2
But re-entrants from the 50-year old and above range dropped.
This chart from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) shows that the re-entry rate amongst retrenched workers hit 64.5% in Q2.
It barely moved from last quarter's 64.4% but saw a larger drop from last year's 65.7%.
MOM said the re-entry rate for PMETs remained similar. It rose for production & transport operators, cleaners & labourers.
Re-entry rate dipped for clerical, sales & service workers, mainly for those laid off from wholesale & retail trade.
Re-entrants from residents over 50 years old were much fewer.
