
Demand in the US accelerates
DBS Group Research said demand in the US is accelerating, even without including inventories or government spending in the picture.
“Private final demand – the stuff Bernanke said is key to the outlook at Jackson Hole last weekend – accelerated to a 4.4% (QoQ, saar) pace in 2Q10, the quarter that has everyone worried about a slowdown. That’s the fastest growth in years and none seems to notice,” said DBS Group Research.
