Consumer confidence wanes in Japan
From 40.7 in May, Japan’s consumer confidence index dropped to 40.4 in June.
OCBC Treasury Research noted:
In a meeting with the cabinet, BOJ Shirakawa said that the central bank has continued to ease its monetary policy and that the effects will be more significant going forward.
Meanwhile, consumer confidence index fell slightly to 40.4 in June from 40.7 in the previous month.
