Second Chance Properties appoints Bobby Jayaraman as Independent Non-Executive Director

He will also head the remuneration committee.

According to a release, the Nominating Committee in its selection process interviewed a few potential candidates and deliberated on their qualification, experience and independence and considered Mr. Bobby Jayaraman to be a suitable candidate. The Nominating Committee’s recommendation has been accepted by the Board.

Mr. Bobby Jayaraman’s appointment as an Independent Non-Executive Director is part of the Company’s policy of Board rejuvenation. The appointment will further enhance the independence element of the Board. The Board believes that Mr. Bobby Jayaraman’s appointment will be beneficial to the Board and Company. 

He will also be Chairman of Remuneration Committee, and a Member of Audit Committee and Nominating Committee.

Mr. Jayaraman is founder and Investment Manager of Frunze Investments where he manages a family office portfolio focused around REITS and equities. Prior to this he spent four years (Nov 2007 - Nov 2011) with Standard Chartered Bank in the Financial Markets area where he helped develop strategies to market commodity hedging products.

He has also spent seven years (2000 - 2007) in management consulting as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company and AT Kearney. During this time he led several high profile corporate finance and strategy projects for major corporates globally.

He holds an MBA from INSEAD.
