Perennial China Retail Trust appoints Tan Eng Kwee as Chief Operating Officer

His corporate, accounting and financial experience will fit in his role of assisting the company’s CEO.

The Board of Directors of Perennial China Retail Trust Management Pte. Ltd. (“PCRTML”) approved the appointment of Tan Eng Kwee as Chief Operating Officer effective Jan 3.

Mr Tan’s more than 20 years of corporate, accounting and financial experience has convinced the Board of his capability to perform his new role, according to a PCRT report.

Mr Tan, 57, will play a key role in assisting the Chief Executive Officer in the strategic oversight and management of PCRT.

In the past he was Chief Financial Officer at Hong Leong Asia Ltd from 2008 to 2011. He was also Senior Vice President of Scomi Group Berhad from 2007 to 2008 and Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Special Projects of Golden State Environment Group Corporation Limited from 2006 to 2007.
