Lafe Corp appoints Ricky Sim Eng Huat as director

He is the  founder and the managing director of RS Advisory & Consulting after retiring from the private sector in 2013.

Lafe Corp announced the appointment of Ricky Sim Eng Huat as independent non-executive director.

Mr Sim, 60 has devoted 18 years of his career to the Singapore Government Civil service since 1977, including six years working in Hong Kong and three years in Bangkok as a diplomat. In 1994 he entered the private sector, joining Suntec Investment Group of Companies (SIPL) in Singapore. In addition to fulfilling the role of COO of SIPL, he was concurrently the managing director of SIPL’s subsidiary companies namely, Chesterton Suntec International (Property Consultancy Business), Suntec Food & Leisure (Foodcourt Business), Suntec F&B Holdings (DOME Cafes), and Singconex Management Services (a M & E company). He was also the chairman at Ewest Suntec Food R&D and Consultancy, according to a Lafe Corp report.

After retiring from the private sector in early 2013, he has since found his own advisory and consulting company, and is currently the managing director of RS Advisory & Consulting, leveraging on the vast network of contacts he has built over the past 36 years of both the public and private sectors. In addition, he has started a Real Estate Consultancy named “SunChest Property Consultants” in June 2013 and is concurrently its managing director.
