Keppel Land names Ang Wee Gee as Chief Executive Officer

He will take over the overall operations of the Group from being an Executive Director, Keppel Land International Ltd and Executive Vice-Chairman Keppel Land China.

The Board of Keppel Land announced the appointment of Ang Wee Gee as Chief Executive Officer effective 01 January 2013. Kevin Wong, the current CEO of the Company will be leaving on 31 December 2012. The Board decided to appoint Wee Gee to succeed him on 1 January 2013. (b) With succession planning in place in the Company, the Board selected Wee Gee, who has been with the Company for 21 years, for promotion as CEO. He has been responsible for the Company’s regional expansion and recently, for the sharpening of the Company’s focus in the important market of China. The Board believes that Wee Gee, with his extensive experience and in-depth understanding of the Company’s strengths will bring it to the next level and continue to develop it as a vital part of the Keppel Group.

Mr Ang, 50, will be responsible for the overall operations of the Keppel Land Group.

Mr Ang has been Executive Director, Keppel Land International Ltd and Executive Vice-Chairman Keppel Land China Ltd since 1 October 2010. Before this, he was Executive Director, Keppel Land International Ltd and Chief Executive Officer, Regional Investments, Keppel Land International Ltd 1 Jan 2008 to 30 Sep 2010 and Director, Regional Investments, Keppel Land International Ltd from 1 Jan 2003 to 31 Dec 2007, according to a Keppel Land report.
