Frasers Centrepoint appoints Chew as Director

Dr Chew Tuan Chiong will be working closely with the Board to determine the overall business and investment strategy of the REIT.

Frasers Centrepoint Trust announced the appointment of Dr Chew, Chief Executive Officer of the company’s manager, Frasers Centrepoint Asset Management, as Director.

Dr Chew, 53, has also worked as Director of Hektar Asset Management Sdn Bhd, manager of Hektar Real Estate Investment Trust, from May 2010, and as Chief Executive of Singapore Science Centre from 1995 to January 2010.

The new Director will be working closely with the Board to determine the overall business and investment strategy of the REIT; take in charge of the general management, which includes managing the finances of the REIT and fund raising, resources of the REIT and public relations; and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations; and oversee management of the assets of the REIT, management of property investment by the REIT and property management.
