City Developments names Kwek Eik Sheng as chief strategy officer

He will support the company's CEO in investment analysis and the formulation of business strategies.

City Developments announced the appointment of Kwek Eik Sheng as chief strategy officer.

Mr Kwek, 32, joined City Developments in January 2009. His duties as assistant general manager, Business Development snd Asset Management (International), included assisting the senior management in the review of overseas investment projects and management of the Group's overseas assets.

He assumed the role of head of corporate development from January 2011, and assisted in the generation and implementation of strategies that would improve corporate performance, championed change management and led corporate planning to further City Development's goals.

Prior to his joining City Developments, he was with the Hong Leong Group of companies in Singapore since 2006. In his role as assistant vice president (investments), Hong Leong Management Services, he assisted in the analysis and review of merger and acquisition transactions and management reorganisation work.
