Rare land parcel could be the most expensive property on record

It sits at the coveted Marina Bay area.

A rare piece of land is about to be up for sale and is expected to draw much interest from wealthy buyers who are most willing to spend soaring prices for a worthwhile investment.

Bloomberg reported that the upcoming land sale is at the heart of the financial district, the Marina Bay area. The land parcel, which sits next to Asia Square, could possibly be the most expensive land to go on sale on record despite a glum in the whole property market.

The anticipated sale is unusual considering plans for new office opening, which after the flood of supply sees through 2018, will be scarce or no more until 2021.

Expected bidders even include sovereign wealth funds and aggressive Chinese developers.
