Race of the REITs: SGX reveals industrial REIT with the highest year-to-date return

The average return is 11.5%.

The Singapore Exchange currently lists seven industrial REITs, which have a combined market capitalisation of $14.4 billion and makes up close to 14% of the total market capitalisation of the primary-listed industrial REITs across the globe.

According to data released by the SGX, industrial REITs have an average year-to-date return of 11.5%. Mapletree Industrial Trust has the highest return year-to-date at 20.4%, followed by Mapletree Logistics Trust with a YTD return of 19.1%.

Ascendas REIT, the biggest industrial REIT by market capitalisation, has a YTD return of 12.9%, at par with Cache Logistics Trust. AIMS AMP Capital followed close with a YTD return of 12.2%, followed by Cambridge Industrial Trust at 6.5%.

Sabana REIT was the only industrial REIT that posted a negative YTD return at -3.7%.
