MTI rolls out 4.40ha of industrial land under IGLS programme

This follows after two plots in the Confirmed List were postponed amidst the pandemic.

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) has launched its Industrial Government Land Sales (IGLS) programme for H2, releasing three sites each in the confirmed list and reserve list, a press release revealed.It spans a total site area of 4.40 ha.

In view of the measures introduced during the Circuit Breaker period and the gradual resumption of business activities from 2 June, the tenders of Plot 2 Tampines North Drive 3 and Plot 3 Gambas Avenue/Sembawang Avenue were postponed in H1 to allow industrialists more time to prepare for the tenders.

In addition, one new site in Jalan Papan will be released in the Confirmed List due to earlier indications of interest in that area.

As for the Reserve List, the sites included are Plot 2 Jalan Papan, Plot 11a Tampines North Drive 5 and Plot 5 Jalan Papan.

The government will only put up a site for tender if an interested party submits an application with an offer of a minimum purchase price that is acceptable to the government, or if there is sufficient market interest in the form of more than one unrelated party submitting minimum purchase prices that are close to the government’s Reserve Price for the site within a reasonable period.

Parties who are interested in sites on the Confirmed and Reserve List can apply to JTC Corporation.
