Marina Bay Sands targets 2029 completion for major expansion
Construction will begin in July 2025.
Marina Bay Sands will begin construction of its expansion project, which includes a new luxury hotel tower and 15,000 capacity state-of-the-art- arena, by July 2025.
Las Vegas Sands, the parent company of MBS, said the new luxury hotel tower will have an “all-suite room product designed to set a new standard of luxury” in Asia.
As part of its expansion, MBS will also boost its luxury retail and increase its MICE capacity by building meeting and function rooms and exhibition halls.
MBS expects to complete its expansion project in 2029.
Meanwhile, the resort also expects to complete the second phase of its renovation and refurbishments by 2025, which includes a third hotel tower and Skypark amenities.
Las Vegas Sands said MBS will complete the renovation in phases through 2024 and 2025.
Under Phase 2 of the renovation, MBS will add 550 redesigned rooms, including 380 new suites, to be operational by Chinese New Year 2025.
The second phase will also introduce enhancements to MBS' gaming, dining, entertainment and retail offerings.
Once Phase 2 is completed, MBS will feature 1,850 redesigned rooms, including 770 suites.
Marina Bay Sands had already “substantially completed” the introduction of 1,300 redesigned rooms for Phase I, including 390 new suites and additional dining, entertainment and retail offerings.
