Frasers Property recognized for green initiatives

Its energy saving initiatives include reducing consumption by 20% by 2030.

Five commercial properties of Frasers Property were presented eight certificates as recognition of their strong efforts made in implementing building practices and initiatives to reduce carbon footprint and promote sustainable consumption and production.

The Frasers Tower, Alexandra Technopark, Cross Street Exchange, Valley Point, and 51 Cuppage Road have received the inaugural GreenDNA certification by the Singapore Environmental Council which is accredited by the United Nations Environment Programme.

GreenDNA is an accreditation system that encodes green practices into the DNA of organisations and individuals to adopt a low-carbon lifestyle, incorporating a green mindset for effective changes in green resource management and business processes, and advocating a circular economy to fight global climate crisis.

The GreenDNA certification system covers carbon emission reduction, which takes close reference to, and is aligned to ISO Greenhouse Gas 14064 standards. It is provided to organisations and government agencies who successfully complete all fulfillments of GreenDNA, which encompass SEC’s programmes such as training and education, awards and outreach, and eco-certifications which is a critical integral component of GreenDNA.
