Non-prime regions capital values increased up to 2.5% in 1Q11
Central and East Coast regions are now at a record of $1,043 per sq ft, exceeding the previous high of $1,020 per sq ft achieved in 4Q10.
Jones Lang LaSalle’s preliminary estimates also showed that although there was a general island-wide resale capital value increase for the first quarter of the year, luxury and typical prime properties only received marginal growth. This result reflected the observations seen in the NUS Housing Index that was released recently where Central region (postal districts 1-4 and 9-10) posted stronger gains than other areas.
