HDB launches BTO projects Senja Gateway and Corporation Tiara

The launch, which involves 1,016 units, pushed HDB’s total offering for the first seven months of 2010 to 9,844 new BTO flats.

The two new BTO projects, Senja Gateway in Bukit Panjang and Corporation Tiara in Jurong West, jointly have 254 units of Studio Apartments, 484 units of 4-room and 278 units of 5-room flats. 95% of the public supply of 4- and 5-room flats will be set aside for First-Timers, according to an HDB announcement.

HDB added that if demand from first-timer households is sustained, they are prepared to offer up to 16,000 BTO flats in 2010.

“In comparison, the total annual take-up of HDB flats offered in the last ten years ranged from 7,000 in 2006 to 16,100 in 2000, and there were balance flats almost every year. The upcoming projects for the rest of 2010 will enjoy a good geographical spread, covering areas such as Punggol, Sengkang, Woodlands, Yishun, etc,” said HDB.

The selling prices for the flats range from:

Senja Gateway
$67,000 to $95,000 for a Studio Apartment;
$242,000 to $306,000 for a 4-room flat; and
$308,000 to $398,000 for a 5-room flat

Corporation Tiara
$242,000 to $325,000 for a 4-room flat; and
$304,000 to $389,000 for a 5-room flat

Senja Gateway is located at the junction of Kranji Expressway and Woodlands Road, while Corporation Tiara is bounded by Corporation Road and Yung Kuang Road.
