Touché shines in Digital - Food & Beverage at SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2024

Touché, in collaboration with QNB, revolutionised the operations and payment processes at the FIFA Fan Festival Qatar 2022, enhancing operational efficiency and fan experience in the food and beverage sector.

Touché has been recognised for its outstanding innovation in the Digital - Food & Beverage category at the prestigious SBR Technology Excellence Awards 2024. This accolade was awarded for Touché's transformative collaboration with QNB—the official payment provider for the tournament—and local reseller TechnoQ, which aimed to revolutionise the fan experience at the FIFA Fan Festival Qatar 2022.

Through this partnership, Touché introduced an advanced order-taking and payment system for Marriott as the caterer for the event updating the Oracle’s Simphony Cloud POS on a real-time basis, enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction at one of the globe's premier sporting events.

The initiative's core objective was to deliver impeccable F&B services to an audience of 60,000 fans daily throughout the month-long FIFA Fan Festival. This ambitious goal was achieved through the integration of Touché technology, which operated flawlessly across 220 handheld Android payment terminals, ensuring uninterrupted service. The deployment of Touché's Quick-Service solution, Order&Pay, was pivotal in managing high transaction volumes efficiently, marking a significant leap forward in payment solutions for large-scale events.

The project's success was measured across several key metrics, including transaction volume, revenue generation, error reduction, and environmental impact. Impressively, the system processed up to 3 transactions per second during peak sales times and averaged US$1,400 per minute. Moreover, its ability to virtually eliminate card payment errors and reduce paper usage underscored the initiative's environmental benefits.

With over 1.8 million visitors served, the festival generated over $10.4 million in revenue, demonstrating the high efficiency and reliability of the implemented payment solutions. Touché’s stellar performance was a testament to its capacity to handle orders, process credit card payments, and update Simphony Cloud POS seamlessly.

This project not only positioned Touché as the first and only Singaporean technology company to participate in a global sporting event but also significantly boosted the company's industry reputation. The success of this initiative has sparked further innovation in Enterprise F&B technology and established new standards for managing large-scale clients. As a result, Touché has expanded its market presence and attracted new partners and clients, fuelling its growth from 3 markets at the time of the World Cup to 8 by February 2024.

Feedback from the event organiser, Marriott, was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting how Touché technology streamlined operations, eliminated bottlenecks, and improved staff morale. The enhanced customer experience played a crucial role in the overall success of the FIFA Fan Festival, allowing fans to enjoy the event seamlessly.

Touché continues to collaborate with key clients like Michael Frydas, now General Manager at a prominent hotel in Dubai, to introduce Touché technology across the hotel group. Frydas's endorsement serves as a powerful testament to Touché's effectiveness and benefits, further cementing Touché's reputation as a trailblazer in the F&B industry.

This transformative success story at the FIFA Fan Festival Qatar 2022, resulting from the collaboration between QNB, TechnoQ, and Touché not only exceeded expectations but also set new benchmarks for the industry. As Touché continues to innovate, its contributions are shaping the future of Enterprise F&B management, ensuring seamless operations and enhancing customer experiences worldwide.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
