BlueMeg Technologies wins the Technology Excellence Award for Automation - Business Services

Over 4,000 Singapore-registered companies use its platform to digitally transact, store and manage their compliance activities.

BlueMeg Technologies has been at the forefront of cloud-based entity management and automated corporate governance software helping companies digitise, automate and transform amidst a complicated technological landscape, with problems exacerbated by the global pandemic.

Its integrated software solution empowers companies to transact and interact efficiently on the cloud, eliminating the paper-heavy execution of document management and governance. Some key features of the BlueMeg Console include a module that streamlines the collection of Know Your Customer (KYC) information from stakeholders, share capitalisation table management and share registers, deadline tracking, and an integrated e-signing solution (BlueMeg Sign) and application programming interface (API) integrations with ACRA, Xero, and Stripe.

These features, amongst others, allow professional service firms to effectively manage their client entities, and also retrieve useful information from the integrations, on just one platform. Given the platform’s open and collaborative nature, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and corporates can use the console to digitally transact, conduct business and store and manage their company documents.

Founded in 2017, the firm’s collaborative automated governance software as a service (SaaS) has achieved product-market fit across multiple jurisdictions, with 15,000 legal entities in over 20 countries and a user base in over 70 countries. It also has over 40 international white label clients who manage their 15,000 legal entities on the platform, including industry leaders such as Tricor, Zedra, Mazars.

In Singapore, there are more than 4,000 companies live on the platform, with over 19,000 individual users with access to BlueMeg’s interactive documents management tool with optical character recognition (OCR) and AI capabilities and statutory records library. BlueMeg has been recognised by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) to lead the way in the country’s efforts to digitise around 600,000 SMEs. It is currently one of six vendors selected to provide SMEs in Singapore with the ability to file their annual return to ACRA digitally, securely and automatically.

In April 2021, BlueMeg was appointed as a pre-approved vendor by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and has onboarded thousands of SMEs and companies on its platform under the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) since the approval.

For its efforts to transform and digitise entity management and compliance activities for firms across the world with both a client-facing and backend platform, BlueMeg Technologies secured the Automation - Business Services award at the recently concluded Technology Excellence Awards, presented by Singapore Business Review. In its fourth year, the awards event lauds companies in Singapore that have pioneered ground-breaking IT products, solutions or initiatives that are leading the technological revolution and digital journeys of their respective industries.

To date, BlueMeg employs 40 people across Asia with a sizable team based in Singapore focused on acquiring new clients, supporting customers, and developing the platform - with an ultimate goal of being a Singapore-based global leader in FinTech and RegTech.

“We are committed to continuing to drive adoption of digital solutions by SMEs in Singapore, so we have prioritised the build of all required AI and OCR features that will further improve the software solution for SMEs,” BlueMeg said.

The firm is on track to onboard 15,000 new companies in Singapore, and over 50,000 across the globe, by the end of 2022.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
