Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings promotes Ren Letian to CEO

His nine years in the group and his strong management and business acumen earned him the position.

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings announced the appointment of Ren Letian as chief executive officer effective 1 May 2015.

Mr Ren, 33, will be in charge of the smooth functioning of the Board and the assurance of timely flow of information between the manegement and the board, particularly on strategic issue as well as the promotion of high standards of corporate governance. He will also be responsible for the day-to-day business of the group, implementation of policies and strategies across the group, as well as leading the development of the future strategies of the group, according to a Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings report.

He is currently general manager of Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Company from January 2015 until his appointment. Before this, he was assistant to the general manager of Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings from February 2012 to January 2015 and general manager at Jiangsu Yangzi Changbo Shipbuilding from March 2011 to February 2012.
