SIA Engineering names former Sembcorp CEO deputy chairman

He will also be a non-executive director for the group.

SIA Engineering Company has appointed Sembcorp's former chief Tang Kin Fei as deputy chairman.

The group noted that Tang's role is independent and non-executive in nature.

"Tang's extensive experience in management, business and finance will strongly augment the core competencies of the current Board and help in setting directions for the Company," SIA Engineering said in an announcement.

After reviewing Mr Tang's qualifications and experience, the group's board approved the Nominating Committee's recommendation to appoint Mr Tang as an independent non-executive Director on the Board of SIA Engineering Company Limited. The Board has also elected Mr Tang as its Deputy Chairman.
