Keppel Integrated Engineering names BG (NS) Tay Lim Heng CEO

Keppel confident that Tay’s experience in various government agencies will help boost company’s value and growth.

Keppel Integrated Engineering Ltd (KIE), the wholly-owned environmental engineering arm of Keppel Corporation Limited, has appointed BG (NS) Tay Lim Heng as its Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 January 2011. He will continue to spearhead Keppel Group's sustainable development business.

Mr Tong Chong Heong, Chairman of KIE, said, "Lim Heng has adapted very quickly to the environmental engineering business. We are confident that he will help to capture value and grow KIE."

BG (NS) Tay takes over from Mr Michael Chia, who will be appointed as Director (Group Strategy & Development) of Keppel Corporation Limited with effect from the same date. Mr Chia will continue to serve as the Deputy Chairman of KIE and Managing Director (Offshore) of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd, according to a Keppel report.

Mr Tong added, "Michael's exposure to Keppel Group's key businesses will place him in good stead to help chart the Group's strategy for the long-term."

Before joining Keppel as its Deputy CEO earlier in June this year, BG (NS) Tay was the Deputy Secretary (Development) of the Ministry of National Development (MND). He was also the Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and has held various key appointments in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
