Jaya Holdings names George Richard Horsington as President

Mr Horsington was chosen from among seven candidates due to his in-depth knowledge of the offshore domain among other factors.

The Board of Jaya Holdings announced the appointment of George Richard Horsington as President. His appointment was made because the Board needs to build a succession plan for the CEO. Also, with its new strategic vision and plan in place, the group needs to develop new markets and businesses, for which it needs a dedicated resource. Jaya likewise needs a head of a business development team.

Mr Horsington, 38, will be responsible for business development (business extension, business expansion and new business). He will also contribute to the chartering business, and be the primary marketing resource for the ship-building/ship-repair business, according to a Jaya Holdings report.

In the past he was General Manager of Swire Pacific Offshore Operations Ltd and its subsidiaries / affiliates. Prior to this he was Swire Pacific Offshore Operations Ltd's International Marketing Manager.
