Koh Brothers Eco Engineering nears completion of deep tunnel sewerage system phase 2 contract
POKB JV collaborated with G & W Ready-Mix to develop sulphur-resistant acid concrete.
Koh Brothers Eco Engineering said its Contract T-08 of the Deep Tunnel Sewerage System Phase 2 project is near completion. The venture, undertaken by its subsidiary KBCE and joint venture partner Penta-Ocean Construction, spans 10 kilometres from the South Tunnel to the Tuas Water Reclamation Plant.
Since Penta-Ocean's investment in Koh Brothers Eco in 2021, the partnership has flourished.
Their joint venture, POKB JV, earned accolades from Singapore's Public Utilities Board for completing shield tunnels totalling 10 km ahead of schedule and achieving over 10 million accident-free hours in 2023.

In terms of quality, POKB JV collaborated with G & W Ready-Mix, a subsidiary of Koh Brothers Group Limited, to develop sulphur-resistant acid concrete, enhancing sewer pipe quality and longevity.
Both companies said they aim to contribute to Singapore's sustainable development through joint projects and human resource exchanges. They are eyeing future large-scale projects like coastal redevelopment and environmental protective measures.
