T T J Holdings clinches Jurong Island contracts worth S$36 million

This raises the structural steel specialist's order book to S$162 million.

In a release, T T J Holdings Limited said it has clinched new projects for structural steelworks on Jurong Island amounting to approximately S$36 million. 

One of these projects will involve the supply, fabrication, delivery and installation of structural steelworks for the SLNG Terminal's secondary and tertiary jetties... this constitutes additional work awarded from Samsung C&T Corporation soon after T T J's recent completion of work for the terminal's primary jetty, a contract which was also awarded by Samsung in the last quarter of 2010.

 The Group has also secured a contract for another project which involves the supply, fabrication, delivery, and installation of structural steelworks for a new Methionine Plant on Jurong Island which is set to be operational by the third quarter of 2014. 

"These additional works that we have secured for the SLNG Terminal project speak well for T T J's reputation as a preferred structural steelworks provider, as well as the trust and confidence of our clients on our ability to continuously deliver consistent quality work," said T T J Chairman and Managing Director MR Teo Hock Chwee. "We are very pleased to be working on such milestone projects, and both of our factories in Malaysia and Singapore will maintain busy production schedules for quite some time with the addition of these new contracts.
