Koh Brothers' arm inks S$30.9m contract

It's awarded by Changi Airport Group.

According to a release, Koh Brothers Group announced that its subsidiary, Koh Brothers Building and Civil Engineering Contractor Ltd, has been awarded a S$30.9 million design and build contract by Changi Airport Group for a proposed retention pond at Changi Airport.

Under the contract, KBCE will be responsible for the design and construction of the retention pond as well as associated drainage and backfilling works. Construction work is expected to commence on November 15, 2012 and projected for completion by December 2014.

Mr Francis Koh, Koh Brothers’ Group Managing Director and Group CEO, said: “We are delighted to be involved in this project. With our strong expertise in civil engineering and construction, having completed various drainage work projects in the public sector such as the iconic Marina Barrage as well as Punggol Waterways, we are confident in delivering yet another quality project that will further embellish our track record.”

Over the years, Koh Brothers has won several excellence awards for its drainage works and is recognised as a strong local infrastructure specialist. Some of its past notable drainage projects include Rochor Canal Flood Alleviation (1974), Kallang River (1995), Singapore River (1997), and most recently the Marina Barrage (2008) and the Punggol Waterways (2011).

The latest project also marks Koh Brother’s second major specialist engineering contract win in the year to-date, having clinched a S$54.6 million joint-venture contract from Singapore’s PUB in April this year, for the construction of a used water lift station at PUB’s Jurong Water Reclamation Plant.

The contract is not expected to contribute to the Group’s financial performance for the year ending December 31, 2012.

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.

None of these stories are mine. They were sent to me by readers of Atomic Habits. My hope is that these examples will illustrate how real people are putting the book into practice. They will show you what people are actually doing to build good habits and break bad ones. And hopefully, they will spark some ideas for how you can do the same.
