WFS execs join SATS’ global leadership team

SATS welcomed three key members of WFS.

Three executives from Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) have joined the global leadership team of SATS following the latter’s acquisition of the aircraft ground handling organisation.

WFS Group’s Chief Financial Officer,  François Mirallié, will assume the role of “Deputy Chief Executive Officer of WFS”; Michael Simpson, executive vice president will take on the role of “Chief Executive Officer – Americas WFS”; and John Batten, executive vice president will become “Chief Executive Officer – Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia (EMEAA) WFS.”

“The inclusion of the three key members of WFS is a recognition of their contributions, track record and experience,” SATS said in a bourse filing.

All three will join the SATS Group Management Board (GMB) which reports directly to Kerry Mok, President and Chief Executive Officer of SATS.
