Singapore is currently one of world's Top 10 growing airports

Which four other Asia Pacific airports made the cut as of the month of February?

Bangkok, Beijing, Jakarta and Manila also expanded its available scheduled seat capacity faster than virtually all other major airports. Combined, the five Asia Pacific airports represented 3.5 million additional seats for the month or 19% of the global growth amount, which is reflective of still-growing demand.

"The exponential growth in Asia Pacific is representative of the increased mobility of businesses and people alike within the region and reflects their increasing economic confidence," said Phil Callow , Chief Executive Officer UBM Aviation, whose brand OAG collected the survey data and published them in the latest February 2012 FACTS report.

Beijing in particular is set to overtake the busy US airport of Atlanta as the largest airport in the world.

"As Beijing continues its surge towards claiming the number one spot from Atlanta, the Asia Pacific aviation communities must address their infrastructure plans to ensure that the increasing demand continues to be met."

Singapore also breached the 500,000 mark in terms of volume growth in available seats for the month.

"Seven airports added over 500,000 seats each in February – Istanbul Ataturk, Bangkok, Beijing, Dubai, Jakarta, Singapore and Bogota. Based on frequency growth, these 7 airports are again at the top," said OAG.

Singapore's brisk growth mirrors the regional phenomena, according to research data.

"To put the growth in a little further context, in terms of global growth by airport, the top 10 Asia Pacific airports are in the top 22 globally (the numbers above representing each airports position for the month of February). The lowest growth rate for the month here is Hong Kong at 8% however it is the 3rd largest airport here (although almost the same size as Bangkok)," said OAG.

A NOTE FROM SINGAPORE BUSINESS REVIEW

You're the reader we write for. You're also the person our partners want to reach.

If that sentence describes you — a founder, a C-suite, someone whose attention companies pay good money for — then you already understand why SBR works. We've spent twenty years earning the trust of readers exactly like you. Which is exactly what makes this an interesting place for your company to show up, too.

The ways it can show up are broader than most people assume — thought leadership articles, sponsored content, industry summits across Southeast Asia, regional awards programmes, podcasts, and media placements in print and digital. The right fit depends on what you're trying to do, which is why we'd rather start with a conversation than send a rate card.

If your company has something this audience should know about, we'd like to hear what you're working on.

No rate cards until we understand the brief. It's a better use of everyone's time.

None of these stories are mine. They were sent to me by readers of Atomic Habits. My hope is that these examples will illustrate how real people are putting the book into practice. They will show you what people are actually doing to build good habits and break bad ones. And hopefully, they will spark some ideas for how you can do the same.
