SIAEC flights handled up 84% YoY in H1 FY21/22

This was 25% of the pre-pandemic level figure.

The Singapore International Airlines Engineering Company (SIAEC) recorded an 84% year-on-year increase in the flights handled in the first half of the financial year 2021-2022 (H1 FY21/22). 

When compared to the pre-pandemic numbers, however, this was only 25% of the workload.

The six months leading up to September 2021 also saw a flight recovery of 4.1 percentage points. 

Meanwhile, the group also reported an increase in the number of checks at both Singapore Base and Clark Base. Light checks and heavy checks at Singapore base were 162 and 46, respectively, up from the 109 and 24 of the previous year. 

The same can also be said for Clark Base, where H1 FY21/22 had seven heavy checks compared to last year’s three. 

77 aircraft are also currently managed. These are composed of 47 A320s, 1 A330, 27 737s, and 7 747s. This continues to show low numbers due to low flight hours and the retirement of older aircraft.
