SIA to operate 5 Boeing 777 freighter planes in partnership with DHL

The first Boeing is set to be delivered by July 2022.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) will be operating additional 5 Boeing 777 freighter planes in partnership with DHL Express under their crew and maintenance agreement.

The freighters, which will sport a dual DHL-SIA livery, will be based at the Changi Airport in Singapore.

"This will further reinforce Singapore’s position as a key air cargo and e-commerce logistics hub, contributing to its growth and development," SIA said in a statement.

They will be operated by SIA's pilots on routes to the USA via points in North Asia. SIA will also oversee the maintenance of these aircraft.

The first aircraft delivery will be in July 2022, with the second being in October 2022. The remaining aircraft are planned for delivery throughout 2023.
