SIA Group's passenger traffic rises 7.7% YoY in August
The group’s cargo business also reported positive volume growth.
Singapore Airlines Group (SIA Group) saw a 9.4% YoY uptick in its passenger volume in August, carrying 3.3 million passengers last month.
Apart from passenger volume, the group’s passenger traffic and capacity also increased in August, rising 7.7% YoY and 10.8% YoY.
The airline group's passenger load factor (PLF), however, dipped by 2.5 percentage points YoY to 85.7%.
The group’s cargo business also reported positive volume growth in August, with total cargo and mail carried rising by 21.6% YoY to 92.9 million kilograms (kg).
Cargo load factor also improved, rising by 4.9 percentage points YoY to 56.1%
