SIA flies A380 to Zurich

Beginning 28 March 2010, Singapore Airlines customers will get to fly on the Airbus A380 when they fly from Singapore to Zurich.

Instead of only having 12 weekly frequencies between the two cities on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, the A380 will fly to Zurich daily. Operations are subject to the airport being certified for A380 flights.

The SQ346 will leave Changi Airport at 0110hrs and arrive in Zurich at 0800hrs, at local times respectively. On the return leg, SQ345 will depart Zurich at 1200hrs and touch down in Singapore at 0605hrs the next day.

Zurich is the third city in Europe and the seventh in Singapore Airlines’ network to receive the A380.

The A380s will feature Singapore Airlines Suites on the flights, which come with full sized beds and fully adjustable leather seats behind sliding doors

Business Class customers will enjoy a 34-inch wide seat which can be converted into a comfortable wide bed.

Singapore Airlines currently has ten A380s in service, a further nine on firm order and options on six more.
