The Singapore government is eyeing to launch a pilot program allowing vaccinated business travellers in the next month.

Trade Minister Gan Kim Yong told Bloomberg that it is holding discussions with Germany, Australia, Canada, and South Korea for the proposed travel arrangement.

He added that the government will initially focus on business travel as it gradually opens up its borders before leisure travel.

Singaporeans have high environmental awareness, but their actions are not at the same level, according to the OCBC Climate Index.

The study that surveyed 2,000 individuals found that Singaporeans scored 8.3 for “Awareness,” 6.5 for “Adoption,” and 5.6 for “Advocacy.”

The survey asked 106 questions that revolved around transport, home, food, and goods, which are amongst the main sources of carbon footprint.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) will be extending some $782,000 to vaccinated individuals who suffered serious side effects.

This will benefit 144 people who may receive up to $225,000 in payouts.

The MoH reported so far two individuals have received the highest possible payout under the Vaccine Injury Financial Assistance Programme.
