From AFP: Singapore's Changi International Airport has pulled off a five-year winning streak to be named the world's best airport 2017, cementing its reputation as the gold standard in airport experiences. Travellers polled for the 2017 Skytrax World Airport Awards gave Changi Airport top marks for turning, what can be, the most stressful part of the air travel experience into a standalone leisure destination in itself.

From The Motley Fool: Due to low oil prices, Keppel Corporation’s Offshore and Marine segment saw its revenue in 2016 fall by more than half from $6.3b in 2015 to $2.9b. The Offshore and Marine segment was responsible for the bulk of Keppel Corporation’s 34% decline in total revenue during the year. Even though oil prices have recovered from their lows in early 2016, Loh Chin Hua (CEO) is not optimistic about a recovery in orders. With that in mind, Keppel Corporation’s Offshore and Marine segment has been rightsizing itself and is looking for new avenues of business.

Except that days after the announcement was made, another news report was published to say that the private sector is unlikely to follow suit. This means that employment laws tend to favour the employer, and employees have far fewer rights than in other developed economies.
