SilkAir and SIA to undergo reservation system change 8 July

SMS alerts, travel and ticketing transactions via online and mobile will be unavalaible from 7 July to 8 July.

In a release, SilkAir and Singapore Airlines will be undergoing a transition to a new reservations system on 8 July 2012. During the transition, all SilkAir and SIA flights are due to operate as scheduled.

However, singaporeair.com, call centres, service centres and travel agents, as well as KrisFlyer-related  transactions and online/mobile functions such as SMS alerts, will not be available from 1800hrs on 7 July Singapore local time. These services are expected to progressively resume from 2200hrs on 8 July.

Booking, reservation and ticketing Internet, mobile and early check-in will not be available for all flights departing on 8 and 9 July Singapore local time1. Customers should bring a printed copy of their electronic ticket to the airport for check-in. Counters will open 2 hours before the scheduled time of departure for SilkAir flights and 3 hours before departure for SIA flights.
