SIA unveils flights to Wellington and Canberra

The Wellington flights will be operated on 266-seat Boeing 777-200s.

Singapore Airlines (SIA) unveiled a new service that will connect Singapore and Melbourne to New Zealand capital Wellington.

According to a press release, the new Singapore-Melbourne-Wellington service will be operated four times a week as SQ247 starting 3 May 2018. Return services will be operated as SQ248.

Flights will be operated on a 266-seater Boeing 777-200s with 38 business class seats and 228 economy class seats.

SIA will also launch a new daily service to Canberra via Sydney. Flights and return services will be operated as SQ288.

The airlines will operate services to Canberra using its 264-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with four first class seats, 48 business class seats, 28 premium economy class seats, and 184 economy class seats.

Tickets will be made available for sale progressively through SIA's distribution channels.
