The aircraft will be grounded for investigations.

Oxygen masks activated inside a Scoot plane during the descent of flight TR996 to Taoyuan International Airport on 24 March, 1:15 p.m., Scoot said in a press statement.

“A female passenger, who was travelling with her infant, reported that her infant vomited during the descent. Medical attention has been rendered to the passenger and her infant, and Scoot will follow up on her infant’s condition,” the airlines said.

“There were no other reports of injuries or major discomfort,” it added.

The Airbus 320 aircraft, as per the flightradar24 website, will be grounded for investigations.

To minimise the disruption caused to its customers travelling on TR997 Taipei-Singapore, originally scheduled to depart at 2 p.m. local time, Scoot deployed a replacement aircraft.

TR997 eventually departed Taipei on 25 March 2019, 1:16 a.m. and arrived in Singapore at 5:39 a.m.

Meal vouchers have been provided to passengers at the airport during the delay.

“Scoot apologises for the inconvenience caused to our customers,” Scoot said.
