Firefly resumes operations in Singapore

The airline will increase its Subang-Seletar route to six daily services starting 29 April.

Malaysian budget airline Firefly’s inaugural flight FY3126 from Subang, Malaysia to Seletar Airport marked the start of the airline’s scheduled operations to Singapore, an announcement revealed.

Some 72 passengers were on board the flight, including Malaysia’s minister for transport Anthony Loke and his accompanying delegation.

Firefly's flights to Singapore were suspended in Deceber 2018 after it was unable to obtain approval from Malaysia's aviation regulator to move its operations from Changi Airport to Seletar Airport.

The airline will operate a twice-daily Subang-Seletar service, using ATR 72-500 turboprops, from 21 to 28 April 2019. This will be increased to six daily services beginning 29 April 2019.
