Golden Agri appoints Hemant K Bhatt as Chief Executive Officer - Commercial

This is an executive appointment.

According to an SGX release, Golden Agri Resources appointed Hemant K Bhatt as its chief executive officer - commercial. His responsibilities include leading the strategy and the execution of the GAR group's global downstream ambitions as GAR builds on its end-to-end supply chain capabilities for greater value creation and efficiencies. He will also be responsible for all merchandising and distribution activities of the GAR group.

Hemant joined Golden Agri after a 26-year long career with Louis Dreyfus Commodities ("LDC"), the last 13 years of which as the CEO Asia-Pacific for LDC and a member of LDC's global Executive Group.
