
Gov’t temporarily bans import of poultry from 23 US regions
The 23 regions have reported outbreaks of H5N1 in poultry.
The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has banned the importation of ornamental birds, poultry and poultry products from 23 regions in the United States.
The temporary restriction dates for the 23 regions are as follows:
SFA will not subject heat-treated poultry products which comply with the OIE guidelines for the inactivation of AI virus to the restriction.
SFA said it will continue to accept poultry consignments exported from the affected areas in the following regions that meet the following slaughter and export dates for import:
