Agrivo International wins SBR National Business Awards for Agriculture

They helped grow two agricultural startups.

"Agrivo Incubation for Singapore Startup," Agrivo International Limited's project that focussed on supporting two Singaporean startups in the agricultural space, won the Singapore Business Review National Business Awards 2017 for the Agriculture category.

Their winning project entailed successfully incubating two Singaporean startups in the field of agriculture: Agrivo Mycosciences Pte Ltd (AMS) and Frontier Agrotech Pte Ltd. AMS' business activities include the production of substrate bags, cultivation of both gourmet and medicinal mushroom and R&D. On the other hand, Frontier Agrotech Pte Ltd is a joint venture incubation which utilises vertical hydroponics and indoor farming methods with internet-of-things capabilities and data analytics. It focusses on growing high quality leafy vegetables and herbs such as kale, lettuce, chards, basil, and mint.

At the moment, Agrivo International is incubating four startups in the Agriculture Sector. To position itself as a leading startup incubator and accelerator in the agriculture sector, Agrivo International revealed that they are in the process of working with several government agencies to further develop the agriculture space in Singapore through the incubation of startups. It is also leveraging on the expertise of a local technology startup that develops cutting-edge solutions involving Internet of Things (IOT) and Data Analytics to transform the agriculture industry which will lead to an increase in productivity and relevancy to the fast-moving and ever-changing world that we all live in today.

Dato' Dr. Nicholas Ho and Dato' Joel Low received the award on behalf of the company. Agrivo International is a Singapore-based agri-business portfolio company that was founded in 2015 with offices in Singapore, Malaysia and Cambodia. It aims to be the top socially responsible agricultural management and investment holdings company globally.

The SBR National Business Awards was held June 8 2017 at the Conrad Centennial Singapore.

This year's nominations were judged by a panel consisting of Ng Jiak See, executive director and head of corporate finance advisory at Deloitte Singapore & Southeast Asia; Choo Eng Chuan, ASEAN markets leader and partner, international and corporate tax services at Ernst & Young Solutions LLP; Toh Kim Teck, assurance partner at Foo Kon Tan LLP; and Henry Tan, managing director at NEXIA TS.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
